What is Inflammation?

Inflammation is a natural part of being a living organism. Inflammation is closely related to our body’s immune response system.  In fact, according to available research, “most pathologists would probably agree that inflammation represents a response of living tissue to local injury..” Simply put – the body will trigger an inflammatory response to treat illness and injury.  However, when uncontrolled, acute inflammation that is caused by inflection is known as sepsis.  Sepsis can result in organ failure… and death

Causes of Inflammation

As identified earlier, inflammation can be triggered by illness or injury. It can also be triggered as an immune response to allergens.
